Wildcat Construction was chosen by the City of Wichita to make an emergency repair to a leaking 66” diameter raw water line into the city’s water treatment plant. The work consisted of an emergency bypass pipe line that required our crews to work 24 hours a day for seven straight days to complete. During that time we worked hand in hand with the owner and their engineer to get the new bypass into service with no stoppage of water to the treatment plant. After the bypass was completed, we worked with the owner and engineer to find the water leak and complete the repair. The site investigation included tunneling under an existing building to locate the leak and then installing a CFRP Lining in the pipe. Miscellaneous site work was also completed during the project. The bypass line was completed in early February of 2015 and the repair of the leaking water line was completed a month later.
