Project Overview

Ventech XTL Oklahoma City, LLC’s selected site for the development of a gas-to-liquids plant was adjacent to a large landfill in northwest Oklahoma City. The two and a half acres site was located over a former leachate lagoon area and adjacent to an 18-acre detention and sediment basin. After clearing and lagoon mucking and leveling, the site required the installation of an 830-foot long steel sheet piling retaining wall on two sides, the importing of 12,500 cubic yards of site fill, installation of a storm water drainage system (600 LF of pipe and 10 manholes), rip rap and erosion control.

After completion of the civil site work package, an oily water sewer and fire water system were installed. Both systems were installed using fusible HDPE and included the following:

  • Oily Water System – 1,200 LF 4-8” HDPE, 200 EA Fusion Welds, 42 EA Drain Hubs/Cleanouts, 2 EA MH/Vault
  • Fire Water System – 1,500 LF 6-8” HDPE, 140 EA Fusion Welds, 16 EA Fire Hydrants/PIV, 1 EA Vault
