Ventech XTL Oklahoma City, LLC’s selected site for the development of a gas-to-liquids plant was adjacent to a large landfill in northwest Oklahoma City. The two and a half acres site was located over a former leachate lagoon area and adjacent to an 18-acre detention and sediment basin. After clearing and lagoon mucking and leveling, the site required the installation of an 830-foot long steel sheet piling retaining wall on two sides, the importing of 12,500 cubic yards of site fill, installation of a storm water drainage system (600 LF of pipe and 10 manholes), rip rap and erosion control.
